If you’re about to be interviewed on the phone then I think it would be BEST if you knew exactly what kinds of phone interview questions were coming your way.  I’m going to go over a few common questions and then tell you EXACTLY where to get the “top answers” that will get you hired.

Here are some common phone interview questions:

Are you a team player?

Why should we hire you?

Why should we take you over another candidate?

Tell me about yourself (Disguised question!)

What are your goals?

Have you ever been fired or forced to resign?

What was your role in your previous job’s most recent success?

Now these are all “normal” questions I guess you could say… But watch out, because they’re all “BEHAVIOR” questions that are designed to draw out some of your qualities so they can get a better idea of who you are as a person.

How to Answer Most of These Questions

The best way to go about acing the interview is to figure out exactly what they want to hear… And then GIVE THEM what they want to hear.

Really simple, right?  Except sometimes it’s hard to figure out exactly what they want.  You can usually think about what kind of person they want working for them and systematically give them those qualities.

Special Tips For Answering The Questions Easily

You can use a lot of “for examples” and stories that dictate the kind of person inherently, instead of blatantly saying that you are X, Y and Z.  This works MUCH better for a lot of people because you can really give them a great idea of who you are, how you work, and your motivation level.

Stories and examples are almost always better than saying you have a couple of skills and talents.  Use it a lot, and I’m sure that your interview will go well.

Tell Them Exactly What They Want to Hear With Phone Interview Questions

Again, I think that the best method you can use is to figure out exactly what they want to hear, and then give them that.  Check out the website that I’ve linked to in this article, it’s the best resource for that sort of thing and you can REALLY get the edge after giving it a read.  Thanks for reading!
